Here are my recipes with berries — cherries, sweet cherries, blackcurrants, gooseberries and cornelian cherries: baking, desserts, jam and a sauce. A good place to start is kefir muffins with cherries and orange zest or the Monastery Hut cake — pastry logs filled with cherries under a sour cream frosting.

How I cook with cherries

Cherries go into varenyky on a kefir dough, served with sour cream, and into the drunken cherry cake with brandy and mascarpone.

Cherry jam, gooseberry jam from slightly underripe berries and sweet cherry jam with hazelnuts and lemon.
